About Emmanuel Worship Center

Emmanuel Worship Center is a full-gospel, non denominational,
charismatic congregation. The primary purpose of EWC is to bring
people into a lifelong, loving relationship with their Heavenly
Father. We do this through powerful, intense worship; solid
Biblical teaching; and activities designed to enhance our
Christian walk through fellowship, productivity & intimacy.

Our Leaders… Are carefully chosen for their love and dedication, as well as their pursuit of godliness. No one is perfect and we do not expect it in our leadership. Our search is for those who have a passion to live for Christ, and who pursue it whole heartedly.We're looking for God-Chasers!

Pastor Ken has been in the ministry for over forty years and has served as a Pastor/Teacher, Evangelist and Camp Meeting speaker, Christian Education Director for 12 churches, Youth Director over twelve churches and a youth coordinator over several hundred churches. He serves now as the senior and founding Pastor of Emmanuel Worship Center of Emporia, VA. Raised by Christian parents with a Pentecostal background; he is a very animated preacher and story teller and mixes humor in his sermons with a very fiery delivery! He has often been referred to as a walking concordance. He has over the years experienced and seen in the ministry the power of the Holy Spirit as demonstrated in the book of Acts and according to Mark 16:15-20. One of his greatest gifts is recognizing the giftings and callings in others. Janet serves as Church Administrator, Director of the Ladies Ministry and is part of the EWCE Praise Team. She is a gifted writer, teacher, and counselor. She is used greatly in ministering to woman who has suffered both physical and emotional molestation and abuse. She is currently developing a ministry in the community for both woman and children who have suffered this type of abuse and neglect! Ken and Janet have four children, nine grandchildren, and have been adopted as grandparents by a number of other children!

Mike functions both as a ruling elder on the leadership team and as a teaching elder. He ministers the first Sunday of each month incorporating a great deal of Biblical historical research in his teachings. In addition, he oversees the Men’s Ministry, serves on the EWCE Praise Team as a musician and singer and is part of the Discipleship Team. Kathy is a gifted dancer and writer and serves as EWCE Ribbons of Light Arts and Drama Director, is part of EWCE Intercessory Team and is our resident Hebrew scholar. Through her efforts EWCE has helped send over 97 Messianic Jews back to the land of Israel. Mike and Kathy have two children, Hannah and Emma.

Tony serves as a ruling elder on the leadership team overseeing EWCE Intercessor and Prayer Ministry. In addition he is a very gifted singer and exhorter and serves on the EWCE Praise Team. He and his wife Trudy are both part of the EWCE Children’s Ministry and EWCE R.E.A.C.H. Ministry. Trudy is also part of the EWCE Arts and Drama Team. Trudy has a great testimony of the miraculous healing power of God in her life overcoming death. They have one child living at home, Janai.

Tim serves both as a ruling elder on the leadership team and as a teaching elder. He oversees EWCE Discipleship Ministry, EWCE R.E.A.C.H. Ministry and is part of the EWCE Praise Team as singer and musician. In addition he serves as assistant director of the Men’s Ministry. Tim and Shannon are both helpers in the Children Ministry. Shannon is part of the EWCE Arts and Drama Ministry and helps with EWCE Exercise and Nutritional Ministry called ‘Praise Moves’. In addition to Tim’s children, Allison and Logan, Tim and Shannon have one son Timothy.

David serves both as a ruling elder on the leadership team and as a teaching elder. He oversees the EWCE Children Ministry and is the Director of EWCE school age ministry Power House. His wife Vera is the Director and Worship Leader of EWCE Praise Team and the Director of ‘Praise Moves’, Exercise and Nutritional Ministry and is a member of EWCE intercessory team. Vera is a gifted singer, musician, artist, dancer, song writer, and teacher. She also serves on the Ribbons of Light Arts and Drama Team. They are the proud parents of Christina.

 

Bob and Becky Warwick

Bob oversees EWCE Deacon Ministry as Head Deacon. He is also part of the EWCE Praise Team serving as the drummer and a singer. In addition, he works with the sound ministry and is the assistant director over Power House, EWCE school age children’s ministry where he is a master puppeteer. His wife Becky is part of EWCE R.E.A.C.H. Ministry in charge of the Communion and Greeting Ministry. She also is part of the EWCE Ribbons of Light Arts and Drama Team.

Emmanuel Worship Center…

Grace Churches Internaional
GCI believes in Apostolic leadership and the giftings for leadership as outlined in scripture. It is worldwide in its scope and vision having missionary endeavors in Eastern Europe, Scandanavia, South America, Asia, Africa,Thailand, Latin America, Israel, Jamica, Honduras and Cuba.

As a part of GCI, Emmanuel has access to guest speakers, missionary endeavors, cultural exchanges and ongoing
communication with believers around the world.

GCI also provides oversight and accountability for the leadership and day to day operation of Emmanuel Worship Center.
